Audrey Harvie, Registered Psychotherapist, Associate Therapist at Leanne Sawchuk Psychotherapy

Hi, I'm Audrey. I'm part of Leanne's care team, and I work with clients virtually across Ontario.

I work with high-achieving adults who have spent years being accommodating, pleasant, and never a burden. People who have become experts at making themselves smaller, silencing their own needs, and keeping everyone else comfortable. The ones everyone turns to, but when they are falling apart or navigating life's hardest moments? They are alone.

If that sounds like you, I want you to know: the way you learned to show up in the world made sense once. It kept you safe. But it is costing you now, and you deserve something different.

My work focuses on what lives beneath the surface.

Together, we explore the emotional patterns that keep you stuck, nurture the needs that have gone unmet, and work toward a version of connection, with yourself and with others, that does not cost you your sense of self.

You do not need to be articulate or composed here. I work at your pace, and make room for all of who you are.

I am commonly described as warm, gentle, and grounded. I welcome you however you show up.

I do not come to this work as an observer. I have sat in the client's chair myself, navigating debilitating anxiety and complex trauma. I know what it feels like to receive care that misses the mark, and I know what it feels like when someone finally gets it right. That experience shapes every session.

Right here, right now, you have a choice. And I am here, gently holding out my hand.

Together, we will gently explore what lives beneath the surface, make space for what we find, and shift the patterns that no longer serve you.

Warm. Grounded. Present.

This is how I show up. Every session.

Who I work with.

I support adults navigating the kinds of struggles that are often invisible to the people around them.

Anxiety & Overwhelm

The constant mental chatter, the bracing for what might go wrong, the exhaustion of holding it all together.

Depression & Low Self-Worth

Feeling disconnected from yourself, going through the motions, wondering when you stopped feeling alive.

Grief & Loss

Whether it is the loss of a person, a relationship, or a version of yourself you thought you would become.

Trauma & Unresolved Wounds

The past that keeps showing up in your present, shaping how you relate to yourself and others.

People-Pleasing & Perfectionism

The pattern of putting everyone else first while your own needs stay hidden, unspoken, or dismissed.

Relationship Difficulties

Patterns of disconnection, conflict avoidance, or choosing relationships that mirror old wounds.

Life Transitions

The disorientation of outgrowing a chapter before the next one has taken shape. Career shifts, moves, identity changes, and the grief that comes with letting go of who you used to be.

My Approach

My primary approach is Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), grounded in attachment science. I also draw from CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed modalities, tailored to your unique needs.

01

Relational

Healing happens when you feel safe enough to show up authentically. That begins with a secure, attuned connection between us.

02

Culturally Sensitive

I seek to understand how the different aspects of your identity overlap and impact your experience, integrating that awareness into our work together.

03

Creative

Imagination, analogies, humour, and other unique approaches are woven into therapy to foster playful yet meaningful exploration of your emotional world.

04

Empowering

I honour your inherent dignity and support your personal agency. Your right to self-determination is central to our work together.

Training & credentials.

My commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth is central to how I show up for you. Here is a snapshot of my training and qualifications.
